I’m Adam, and I started Tripleshot.
Back in 2012, when I was 26, I built my first online ordering website for a restaurant here in Geelong, Australia. I’m 40 now and still at it, same craft, sharper skills, and the same goal I had on day one: get genuinely good tools into the hands of as many independent restaurants as I can.
For most of those fourteen years it’s been just me. One person, self-funded, no investors. And the whole time I’ve been going head to head with companies that have a thousand-plus employees and market caps in the billions. They’re built to grow at any cost, happy to lose enormous amounts of money for years on end just to lock up the market. I don’t have a war chest like that.
But I think you understand this fight better than most. You run a restaurant up against chains and delivery apps with bottomless marketing budgets. You know what it is to do honest, good work and still have to fight for every customer against players a hundred times your size. I know the feeling.
I’ve stuck with it this long not because it’s made me rich, but because I love the work: refining the craft, building something actually useful, and watching it help a real business run a little better. The more people I can do that for, the more it’s worth doing.
So here’s the honest version of how it works. The online ordering itself is free, and it always will be. I make my money from optional paid add-ons for owners who want more. But you never have to pay to take orders online.
That’s the deal. Thanks for reading, and I hope what I’ve built earns a place in your business.
